ZAC Shaw says he is ready for an exciting year after getting his season off to a cracking start in Dubai.

Competing in both the 100m and 200m at the IPC Grand Prix, the Cleethorpes Athletic Club sprinter was aiming to show some solid form after a tough winter.

But he did more than that – winning silver in the 100m in 11.37 secs and gold in the 200m in 23.10 seconds.

The visually-impaired competitor said: “I couldn’t have asked for anything more – especially because it’s been a hectic winter with injuries, changing coaches, and moving away from home.
