GRIMSBY sprinter Zac Shaw has finished sixth – and set a new personal best – in the 200m at the IPC World Athletics Championships.
The 19-year-old came home in a time of 22.88.
Nambala Johannes of Namibia took the gold medal in a time of 21.74 , setting a new African record
It comes after Shaw also impressed in the 100m at the big global contest in Doha, Qatar – which features many of the world’s top disabled athletes.
The partially-sighted Cleethorpes Athletic Club racer came sixth in the 100m final on Saturday in 11.33 after successfully winning through his heat in 11.21.
The IPC World Athletics Championships is second only to the Paralympics in terms of importance.
